Listen, Jack, Ezekiel 46 is a real doozy. Here's the deal: the Lord tells us in this chapter that His temple must be kept holy and that no malarkey will be tolerated when it comes to His rules. He says that the prince must not take away from the people any of their land, and that he must give them their food when the Sabbath comes around. Then He says that the prince must provide offerings for the people on the holy days, and that the offerings must be the best of the best. Then He says that the prince must also provide a lamb for the people to sacrifice on the Sabbath as well as on the new moon. C'mon, man! Literally, the Lord is saying that the prince must do all these things for the people or no deal. My father used to say, "Treat the people right or you'll have to answer to the Lord," and I'm not joking! See here, Jack, the Lord is giving the prince a real chance here to show that he's faithful to Him, and what was that? It's not gonna happen if he doesn't provide the best of the best for the people. I tell you what, folks, this is a real test of the prince's faithfulness, and excuse me if I'm being too blunt, but if the prince fails this test, then he's gonna be in big trouble with the Lord. That's the deal.
