Folks! Listen, Jack, it's time to talk about 1 Samuel 12. Uh, you know, I don't want no malarkey here. This is a serious business we're talking about. My father used to say, 'Joey, nothing's as important as a good old dose of the Bible.' Well, here's the deal.

It starts off with a bang. Literally. Samuel is gathering the people of Israel and he's reminding them of all the great things God has done for them. He talks about how they were slaves in Egypt and then God brought them out with a mighty hand. C'mon, man! That's pretty impressive.

Then Samuel tells the people to be prepared to answer God's justice. He says they should fear him and serve him and keep his commandments. See here, Jack, this is important stuff.

But then Samuel tells the people to choose a king. What was that? I'm not joking. Uh, you know, you don't hear about kings in the Bible much, so this is a big moment. Samuel is getting ready to pass the torch, so to speak.

And then it's time for the people to respond. And I tell you what, they do. They say they want a king like all the other nations around them. Excuse me. They know it's not a popular move, but they feel like they need it.

So that's it. 1 Samuel 12. Not gonna happen again anytime soon. That's for sure.
