Joker: Hey Robin, why don't you let me take a crack at this Bible chapter?

Robin: Alright Joker, what do you make of Jeremiah 10?

Joker: Well, it's all about how idols are dumb and people should put their trust in God. It says, "They are all worthless, their works are nothing; they are the product of delusion; in the time of their punishment they will perish."

Batman: That's right, Joker. Jeremiah 10 warns against false gods and calls people to recognize and trust in the one true God.

Catwoman: But of course, Batman, there are still some who attempt to find solace in idols. Jeremiah 10 says, "Do not be dismayed at the signs of the heavens, for the heathen are dismayed at them."

Robin: Right, Catwoman. The chapter also says that the idols are made by humans and can't do anything for us. It says, "They have mouths, but cannot speak; eyes, but cannot see; they have ears, but cannot hear; noses, but cannot smell; they have hands, but cannot feel; feet, but cannot walk; nor can they utter a sound with their throats."

Joker: Sounds like a bunch of people I know!
