So, in Deuteronomy 1, we got Moses recounting the stories of the Israelites' 40 year journey in the wilderness after their exodus from Egypt. Man, 40 years in the desert, that's like an eternity! Anyway, Moses reminds them of how God gave them the Ten Commandments, and he also reminds them of some of the laws that God gave them. Then, Moses sets up the judges and leaders to help them with the laws, 'cause he's getting old and tired, you know? He also gives them some advice on how to be successful in their new land, which is nice. I mean, it's not like they had Yelp reviews.
