So, after all his wandering, Moses finally made it to Deuteronomy 7. He starts off by reminding the Israelites not to intermarry with the Canaanites. He says it will lead to all sorts of trouble, like the Israelites adopting their customs and worshipping their gods. So, the Israelites must keep their distance and stick to their own people. Then Moses gives them a few rules for when they do go to battle. Basically, don't be scared, don't be fooled, and just do what God tells you. Finally, he reminds them that God will love them and keep His promises if they keep His commandments. So, you know, same old, same old.
