Hey, folks, it’s me, Norm MacDonald with another chapter of the Bible. We’ve got 2 Samuel 2, and it’s a real doozy. So let me get you up to speed: David is king now and he’s trying to consolidate his power by setting up his son, Absalom, as the next king. So David and his men go to Hebron and it’s all good until Ishbosheth, Saul’s son, shows up and tries to claim the throne. Of course, David’s men aren’t having it and they fight Ishbosheth’s people. In the end, David’s men win and Ishbosheth and all of his followers are killed. So, lesson of the day: don’t mess with David and his people. See you next time!
