Norm MacDonald here with the summary of 2 Samuel 15. So, King David is on the run from his son Absalom, who is trying to overthrow the throne. David decides to take his loyal followers across the Jordan River and leave Jerusalem, as he believes this is the only thing that will save him. Meanwhile, Absalom is doing his best to win over the people of Israel. He's even cutting his hair to try to look more attractive. But, of course, it's not working -- he's still the bad guy. Eventually, David and his people make it across the Jordan, and David cries out to the Lord for help. God answers his prayers, and David is able to return to Jerusalem. In the end, Absalom is killed, and David is able to reclaim his throne. So, there you have it: a classic story of a father and son, a good guy and a bad guy, and a whole lot of drama. That's 2 Samuel 15.
