Folks! See here, Jack: 2 Samuel 15 is talkin' about Absalom, who's the son of King David. Now, this is a pretty serious situation: Absalom's tryin' to take his dad's throne! My father used to say, you don't mess with family business, but Absalom's gonna do it anyway. He's got a whole plan, setting up a big chariot and horses, and gathering 50 men to run ahead of him. And then - get this - he's gonna go to the gate of the city and talk to the people of Israel. C'mon, man! As if he needs a chariot and horses to do that. Anyway, so Absalom speaks to the people, and tells 'em he's gonna judge between them, and they love it! They're like, "Yeah, Absalom! You're gonna be our king!" Or uh, you know, something like that.

But King David, he's not gonna have it. So he decides to flee the city, and Absalom follows him. When David hears that, he orders his men to go back to the city and not to follow him. And here's the deal: he's not gonna have any of Absalom's followers with him. Literally! He's gonna go by himself, and he'll go wherever God takes him. That's how serious this is. I'm not jokin' - not gonna happen.

So, that's the story of 2 Samuel 15, folks. I tell you what: don't mess with family business - that's the lesson here. No malarkey. What was that?
