Folks, listen, here's the deal. 2 Samuel 5 is all about this dude, David, who was the King of Israel. Now, literally, he was a pretty impressive guy. My father used to say he was the king of kings. Or uh, you know, the king of the people. Anyway, he was the one who, excuse me, conquered the city of Jerusalem and made it his capital. He was a real leader, and what was that? He built a palace and a temple in the city. See here, Jack, it was a real feat.

C'mon, man, no malarkey - the Philistines were really jealous of this. They tried to attack, but David was the real deal. He was a strong military leader and an astute statesman. He literally, I'm not joking, defeated them all. He also defeated the Edomites and the Moabites and then, what was that? He became a ruler over all of them. Here's the deal - David was a remarkable leader. He was literally the king of kings!
