Folks, listen, you know what I'm talking about here, no malarkey: 2 Samuel 17. My father used to say, "No man's an island." Well, that's what this chapter is about. Here's the deal: David's son Absalom, he's trying to overthrow his dad and take over the kingdom. So he sends out his men to try to get the people of Israel on his side, and he sends out a different set of men to go after David. See here Jack, it gets pretty complicated. There's a lot of back and forth, and there's a lot of spies and messengers and whatnot, and it's like a big game of chess. But in the end, David's side wins out. And, uh, you know, David's son ends up getting killed. That's the thing about family. It's complicated. Literally, there's no way around it. I'm not joking. So yeah, that's what 2 Samuel 17 is all about. Not gonna happen again. I tell ya, excuse me.
