Batman: Robin, when we last left off, Absalom had been killed and David had returned to Jerusalem to reclaim the throne.

Robin: That's right, Batman. Now, in 2 Samuel 17, a certain Ahithophel advises Absalom's supporters to pursue David and take the throne back.

Joker: Heheheheh! I love the sound of that! What happened next, Batman?

Batman: Ahithophel's counsel is disregarded and Hushai is brought in to provide an alternate plan. His plan is to pursue David slowly and carefully, allowing David to become increasingly exhausted.

Riddler: So, what happened? Did David become exhausted?

Robin: No, Riddler. David was warned of the plan and managed to elude Absalom's forces. In the end, Absalom and his supporters were defeated.

Catwoman: How did David manage to elude Absalom's forces?

Batman: David had the help of many loyal supporters, including Zadok the priest and Abiathar the scribe. They helped him to flee and eventually defeat Absalom.
