Batman: Robin, I've heard of an incredible story of kindness and mercy.
Robin: What is it, Batman?
Batman: It is recorded in 2 Samuel 9. Apparently, King David wanted to show kindness to any of the family of Saul who remained.
Catwoman: You mean the family of the man David defeated in battle?
Batman: Yes, Catwoman. He found out that one of Saul's grandsons was still alive. He was named Mephibosheth.
Robin: What did the King do for him?
Batman: He invited Mephibosheth to come live with him in Jerusalem and gave him an allowance of food from his own table.
Joker: Wow, that's amazing!
Batman: Indeed, Joker. The King also restored to Mephibosheth all the land that had belonged to Saul, so that Mephibosheth would be provided for in the future.
Robin: Wow, that was incredibly generous of King David!
Batman: It certainly was, Robin. It's a reminder of how God's mercy and grace can be extended to even those who are enemies.
