1-7.

Peter: Alright, so Romans 13:1-7. Let's see here. "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God."

Lois: Yeah, yeah, yeah, so basically don't mess with the man.

Brian: Or as the great philosopher Axl Rose once said "Don't you dare be sour, clap for the powers that be."

Stewie: Ugh, I hate this chapter. Just saying, what kind of God would give us such an oppressive regime?

Peter: Well, it says here that the authorities that exist have been established by God.

Lois: That's right. So if you don't like it, take it up with Him.

Stewie: Yeah, yeah, I think I will.

Peter: Alright, so it goes on to say that whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

Lois: Yeah, so don't mess with the man, or else.

Brian: Or as the great philosopher Drake once said "I got enemies, got a lot of enemies."

Stewie: Ugh, why am I even here?

Peter: Alright, so it goes on to say that the authorities are God's servants, sent for your good. But if you do wrong, of course you should be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God's servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

Lois: So basically, don't do anything wrong, 'cause the man will be there to punish you.

Brian: Or as the great philosopher Eminem once said "Cause I'm just a soul whose intentions are good, oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood."

Stewie: Ugh, why did I even come here?

Peter: Alright, so it goes on to say that it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.

Lois: So it's better to do the right thing, even if you can get away with doing the wrong thing.

Brian: Or as the great philosopher 50 Cent once said "If I can't do good, I'm gonna do better than bad."

Stewie: Ugh, I'm outta here.
