"This week, in Exodus 4, we have a story of a guy who thinks he can talk his way into anything. Moses, who was chosen by God to free the Israelites from slavery, thinks he's pretty special. He says, 'What if they don't believe me?' God responds, 'What do you have in your hand?' Moses says, 'A staff.' Then God says, 'Throw it on the ground.' So Moses throws it on the ground, and it turns into a snake. So Moses is like, 'Okay, okay, I believe you.' Then God gives him a few special powers, like being able to turn his staff into a snake and turn water into blood. So it looks like God is not messing around when it comes to getting the Israelites out of slavery. Moses, take note. That's Exodus 4."
