Folks, here's the deal. You know my father used to say, if you don't know where you're going, you'll never get there. Well, Numbers 33, that's the book of the Bible, is about the Children of Israel and their travels through the wilderness. Literally, all the places they stopped and camped at on their way to the Promised Land. I'm not joking, it's all there in Numbers 33. So, c'mon, man, let me tell you what happened.
The Children of Israel started in Egypt and traveled up to the Red Sea, and then from there to the Desert of Sin, and then on to the Wilderness of Sinai. Then they went on to Kibroth-Hattaavah, Hazeroth, and Rithmah. Then it was on to Rimmon-Parez, Libnah, Rissah, and Kehelathah. After that, the Children of Israel went to Mount Shapher, Haradah, Makheloth, Tahath, Terah, Mithkah, Hashmonah, Moseroth, Bene-Jaakan, Hor-Haggidgad, Jotbathah, Abronah, Ezion-Gaber, and then they ended up in the Plains of Moab. See here, Jack, that's a lot of stops!
And then it gets really interesting. The Children of Israel went to the Israelites defeated King Sihon and King Og and then they camped in the plains of Moab. They stayed there for a while, and then they went on to the Plains of Moab, and then they went on to the Jordan River. That's right, the Jordan River. No malarkey!
But, excuse me, that's not all. The Children of Israel then went on to the Plains of Moab and then crossed the Jordan River, and then they were in the Land of Canaan. So, I tell you what, if you want to get from Egypt to the Land of Canaan, then you better listen up and read Numbers 33 for all the details.
