Folks, here's the deal. In Numbers 24, we learn about a guy named Balaam. Now, Balaam was a prophet and he had a talking donkey. That's right, a talking donkey! And he was having a conversation with the donkey - my father used to say it was just like talking to me when I was a kid. So, Balaam is out there talking to the donkey, and all of a sudden, God speaks to him. He tells him to bless the people of Israel, and not to curse them, c'mon, man. So Balaam says, "I can't curse them, I can only bless them" - not gonna happen. Then Balaam starts talking about how powerful the people of Israel are, how they'll eventually take over the land of Canaan, and how they'll be so strong, they'll even take on the King of Assyria. I'm not joking - this is a conversation about the power of the people of Israel! And he ends with a blessing for them. See here, Jack - this is a powerful moment, and a reminder of how God is always with us, no malarkey.
