Folks, listen, Jack. Here's the deal. Deuteronomy 24 is all about marriage, c'mon, man. My father used to say, "a man should not divorce his wife after he has married her," and that's exactly what Deuteronomy 24 teaches us. A man cannot just go around divorcing his wife like it's no malarkey - what was that? - and if he does, he has to give her a certificate of divorce and send her away. See here, Jack, it says not to bring any guilt upon her, because that's literally not gonna happen.

I tell you what, if a man marries a woman and then decides he doesn't want her, that's not okay. He can't just pass her on to someone else. Excuse me, no matter how much money he's promised her, it can't happen. It's not fair to the woman, and it's not fair to her family.

And, here's the deal - if a woman's husband dies and she decides to remarry, she's gotta wait a whole year before she can do it. It's an old law, I tell you what, but it's still there in Deuteronomy 24.

That's all folks. No malarkey. Or uh, you know, let's not forget it. I'm not joking.
