Listen, Jack, Deuteronomy 32 is all about the Lord being a Father to Israel. No malarkey! The Lord is the Rock, His work is perfect, and all His ways are just - literally! He is a faithful God without deceit. My father used to say that He is righteous and upright - I'm not joking! He then punishes the wicked and rewards the righteous. See here, Jack, He makes his covenant last forever and keeps His promises to a thousand generations. What was that? Well, He is the one who gives us rain and makes the earth fruitful, and He blesses us in the city and the country. Or uh, you know, He gives us food and makes us happy. Not gonna happen, I tell you what, He gives us the vine from Egypt and the olive from Bashan. Excuse me, He tells us that He will drive out our enemies and give us the land of our enemies. He is the one who takes care of us, and He tells us not to forget Him.
