Batman: Robin, we must turn our attention to the Book of Exodus!
Robin: What does it say, Batman?
Batman: Well, in Chapter 24, God calls Moses and Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy elders of Israel up to Mount Sinai. He reveals to them His laws and His covenant, and they all responded, “We will do everything the Lord has said.”
Catwoman: Oh my! It sounds like Moses had quite the entourage.
Batman: Indeed, Catwoman. Then God told Moses to come up to the mountain and He would give him two stone tablets with His commandments written on them. Moses stayed on the mountain for forty days and forty nights.
Riddler: Forty days and forty nights? That’s a long time!
Batman: Yes, it is. During that time, the people promised to obey all of the Lord’s commands. When Moses came down from the mountain, he had the two tablets in his hands.
Joker: What happened then?
Robin: God told Moses to build a tabernacle so that the Israelites could meet with Him there. Then, Moses and Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel sacrificed burnt offerings to the Lord and ate a sacrificial meal.
Batman: After that, they all saw God and ate and drank in His presence.
Joker: Whoa! That must have been quite a sight!
Batman: Yes, indeed! Then God told Moses to write down all of His laws and instructions in a book, and Moses did as he was told.
Robin: And that’s how the Book of Exodus ends!
