Well, folks, it's been a wild ride in Matthew 14. We've got a king, a prophet, a miracle, and a whole bunch of walking on water. King Herod had John the Baptist beheaded, which was bad news for John, but great news for Herod's party guests. Herod thought John was a prophet, and he was out for revenge. Meanwhile, Jesus heard about the news and decided to take a little boat trip to a deserted place. The disciples followed him and, when they got there, they were amazed to find that Jesus had fed 5,000 people with only five loaves of bread and two fish. After that, Jesus made his disciples get back into the boat and he walked across the sea to meet them. No big deal. The disciples were so scared they thought he was a ghost, but Jesus calmed them down and they all made it safely to the other side. So, in conclusion, don't mess with prophets and don't forget to pack a lunch.
