Alright, folks. Ezekiel 16. This one starts off with God telling Ezekiel to "take up a lamentation for Jerusalem". What he means by that is, he wants Ezekiel to really lay into Jerusalem for its sins. He's not happy. Anyway, God goes on to tell Ezekiel that he found Jerusalem as an abandoned baby, and he made her his own. He gave her lots of nice clothes and jewelry, but instead of being thankful, she became a prostitute. So God gets mad and decides to punish Jerusalem. He strips her of her nice clothes and jewelry and makes her wear rags, and then he makes her suffer even more. And then he says it's over, and that he still loves her and will take her back if she repents. So, there you have it, folks. Ezekiel 16. A story of a God who loves you, but isn't afraid to throw down the hammer when you mess up.
