Well, folks, in Ezekiel 3, things get a little weird. The Lord commands Ezekiel to eat a scroll, which I can only assume was written in hot sauce and mustard. That's right, the Lord wants Ezekiel to eat a scroll. But Ezekiel does as he is told, and he finds the scroll to be sweet as honey, which I'm sure the Lord knew already. Then the Lord gives Ezekiel a mission to warn the Israelites of their sins and to prophecy of the coming destruction. Ezekiel is to be a watchman, sounding the alarm whenever danger approaches. Ezekiel accepts the mission and the Lord departs. All in all, this chapter is a bit of a head-scratcher.
