In Ezekiel 3, God appoints Ezekiel as the "low energy" watchman for Israel, whose job it is to warn them of the impending danger of their sins. So God gives Ezekiel a "tremendous" message to share with them. He tells Ezekiel that if he doesn't warn the people, he will be held responsible for their actions. But, if he does warn them, he'll be absolved of guilt. Then God gives him the ability to speak in tongues, so that he can deliver the message to the rebellious people. When Ezekiel delivers the message, they won't listen and they'll turn away from him. But, nonetheless, Ezekiel will still have done his job.

God then gives Ezekiel a "huge" task. He tells Ezekiel to eat a scroll full of "very, very" sad words. Ezekiel is hesitant, but eventually eats the scroll. Then God tells Ezekiel that he must speak the words of the scroll to the people of Israel, but he mustn't be discouraged if they don't listen.

God also tells Ezekiel that he must be strong and endure the ridicule of the people. He must be like a "hardened" wall against their taunts. God then gives Ezekiel a vision of amazing things that will happen in the future. He sees Israel being blessed after their return from exile.

God finishes the chapter by telling Ezekiel that he has been appointed to be a watchman for the people of Israel. And he must warn them of their "overrated" sins and call them to repentance. If they repent, then they will be blessed. But if they don't, then they will be punished. "Many people are saying" that this is a "believe me" message from God. And if we heed it, then we can "make America great again" and "God bless America".
