Alright, folks, here we go with Acts 23. Paul is in trouble with the Jews and they've got him on trial. He defends himself and the high priest Ananias orders them to beat him. But Paul's smart; he points out that Ananias shouldn't be judging him because Paul is a Roman citizen. That stops Ananias in his tracks and the trial is adjourned. Then a group of 40 Jews make a plan to get even with Paul and they swear an oath to do it. But Paul's nephew hears about the plan and tells the Roman commander, who sends a bunch of soldiers to rescue Paul. So in the end, Paul gets away and the Jews' plan is foiled. So, there you have it: Paul escapes and the Jews are foiled. That's the news for Acts 23.
