Alex Trebek: Alright, so now that we know a little bit more about each other, why don't we move on to the next topic?

Contestant: Actually, I wanted to talk about something else. I wanted to give a quick summary of Acts 23 in the Bible.

Alex Trebek: (Sighing) That's, uh, interesting. What does it say?

Contestant: Well, in Acts 23, Paul is brought before the High Council of the Jews. He speaks of his faith in Jesus, and the council is divided in their opinion of him. One group wants to kill Paul, while the other group wants to hear him out. The High Priest commands for Paul to be taken away, and the council is in uproar.

Alex Trebek: (Exasperated) Right, of course. Anything else?

Contestant: Yes, a group of Paul's friends get a message to him in the night and tell him that forty men have sworn an oath to not eat or drink until they have killed him. But Paul encourages them to take courage, because he has faith that God will rescue him.

Alex Trebek: (Sighing) Well, I'm glad he had faith in his rescue. Is that all?

Contestant: Pretty much. Paul's nephew goes to the Roman commander and tells him about the plot to kill Paul, and the commander sends two hundred soldiers to rescue Paul and bring him to safety.

Alex Trebek: (Rolling his eyes) Wonderful. That's great. Now can we please move on to something else?
