Alex Trebek: Alright, so what do you do for a living?

Contestant: I'm a Bible scholar.

Alex Trebek: Really? Well, why don't you tell us a bit about the Bible then?

Contestant: Sure! In Acts 15, the early Christian church was facing a problem. Some of the believers were insisting that non-Jewish converts had to be circumcised in order to be saved. So, the apostles and elders met in Jerusalem to discuss the matter. The conclusion was that Gentiles were not required to follow the Jewish law in order to be saved.

Alex Trebek: [Sighs] That's very interesting. So, what else do you do in your free time?

Contestant: Well, I'm also very familiar with the Bible. For example, in Acts 15, the apostles Paul and Barnabas gave a report on their travels. They told the assembly about the miracles they had seen and how God had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.

Alex Trebek: [Sighs] So, do you do anything else besides study the Bible?

Contestant: Yes, I also like to read. I recently read about how the assembly in Jerusalem decided to send Judas and Silas to Antioch to tell the church there about their decision. They also wrote a letter to the church explaining the ruling, and the letter was read out in the assembly.

Alex Trebek: [Sighs heavily] Alright, I think that's enough about the Bible for now. Is there anything else you'd like to tell us?
