Alex Trebek: Alright, well now that we've gotten to know each other, let's move on to something else. What do you think of the current political climate?
Contestant: That's an interesting topic, but I'd actually like to talk about what happened in Acts 6.
Alex Trebek [Sighs]: Alright, I guess we can talk about the Bible for a minute. What happened in Acts 6?
Contestant: Well, in Acts 6, the apostles are troubled by the fact that the Grecian widows are being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. So, the apostles call the whole church together and ask them to choose seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, to manage the daily distribution of food. The church agrees and they appoint Stephen, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicholas.
Alex Trebek [Rolls eyes]: Wow, that's great. So, what else happened in the chapter?
Contestant: The seven men perform their duties well and great signs and wonders are done through Stephen. A group of people then start to debate with Stephen and begin to spread false accusations about him.
Alex Trebek [Sighs]: Sure, sure. So then what?
Contestant: Well, Stephen is brought before the Sanhedrin and he makes a powerful speech about the history of Israel and the coming of Jesus. This angers the Sanhedrin and they start to drag Stephen out of the city to stone him.
Alex Trebek [Groans]: Ugh, okay. Is that it?
Contestant: Yes, that's it.
Alex Trebek [Shaking his head]: Alright then, let's move on to something else.
