Batman: Gather round, Robin, for the story of Matthew 2.

Robin: What happened, Batman?

Batman: King Herod was troubled by the news of a newborn king, and so he commanded the wise men to search for the child and return with news of his whereabouts.

Catwoman: But, of course, the evil King had plans to kill the baby and prevent his ascension to the throne!

Robin: How terrible! What did the wise men do?

Batman: They followed the star to Bethlehem and found the baby, who was born to Mary and Joseph. They gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Riddler: That's an odd assortment of presents.

Batman: Quite. After these gifts were given, they were warned in a dream not to return to Herod. So, they returned to their own country another way.

Joker: What a twist!

Robin: Wow! What happened after that?

Batman: Herod, upon learning that he had been tricked by the wise men, was furious and had all the baby boys under two years of age in Bethlehem and its vicinity slain.

Joker: Oh, the horror!

Batman: But, of course, Mary and Joseph had already been warned in a dream to flee to Egypt, and so the baby Jesus was saved.

Robin: A happy ending!
