Well folks, it's Matthew 2, and the story just keeps getting crazier. We've got wise men, a jealous king, and a whole lot of fleeing. So, three wise men show up out of nowhere, asking questions about the birth of this mysterious baby, and King Herod gets all jealous and paranoid. →

Joe: Alright, so what's going on in Matthew 2? Bible Expert: Matthew 2 is about the visit of the Magi to Jesus when he was born. Joe: Magi? Who are they? Bible Expert: Magi were wise men from the East, who, following a star, found their way to the place where Jesus was born and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. →

"Listen up, soldiers! Chapter 2 of Matthew is all about Jesus' birth! We start off with a bunch of wise men, also called magi, who traveled from the East to follow a star they saw in the sky. They believed this star was a sign of the birth of a special king, and found the baby Jesus in Bethlehem. →

Batman: Gather round, Robin, for the story of Matthew 2. Robin: What happened, Batman? Batman: King Herod was troubled by the news of a newborn king, and so he commanded the wise men to search for the child and return with news of his whereabouts. →

Listen, Jack, c'mon man, here's the deal. The magi from the East, y'know, show up, literally, looking for the newborn King of the Jews. They show up in Jerusalem and King Herod ain't too happy about it, what was that? He's so worried that he calls the priests and scribes together and finds out the Messiah is supposed to be born in Bethlehem. →

In Matthew 2, we see the amazing story of Jesus being born in Bethlehem. The haters and losers were trying to kill him, but God intervened with a dream to Joseph and Mary. They fled to Egypt, and the deep state of King Herod was not happy. →
