Well, folks, it's time to recount the happenings of Matthew 4. So, Jesus goes to the wilderness and, of course, the devil shows up. He tries to tempt Jesus, but Jesus ain't havin' it. Three times, the devil tried to get Jesus to compromise, but each time Jesus just said, 'No, thanks. →

Joe: Alright, so let's get into it. What's the scoop with Matthew 4? Bible Expert: Well, Joe, Matthew 4 is the chapter in which Jesus begins his ministry. It starts with Jesus being tempted by Satan in the wilderness. →

Listen, Jack, c'mon man, here's the deal: Jesus, ya know, he was out in the desert and the devil came to tempt him. He said, "Hey Jesus, if you're really the son of God, why don'tcha turn these stones into bread?" Jesus was like, "No malarkey, I'm not gonna do it, no how no way". →

1-11: Jesus was tested by the Devil BIGLY! He was tempted in the wilderness and many such cases. It was amazing! It was sad that the Devil tried to make Jesus turn away from God. But Jesus resisted and he was winning! He quoted scripture to the Devil and it was terrific. →
