Batman: Well, Robin, it looks like we have a new case!

Robin: What is it, Batman?

Batman: Genesis 16. It tells us that Sarai, Abram's wife, was unable to bear a child. So she gave her Egyptian maidservant, Hagar, to Abram to be his second wife.

Robin: Wow, that's a tricky situation! What happened next?

Batman: Well, Hagar conceived and gave birth to a son, Ishmael. But God told Sarai that she would give birth to a son of her own, and she did. His name was Isaac.

Joker: Ha ha ha! Sounds like a soap opera!

Batman: That's enough out of you, Joker! Anyway, Sarai got jealous of Hagar and treated her harshly. So God told Hagar to go away with her son. But Hagar was afraid, so God told her to return and promised to make her son into a great nation.

Robin: Wow, what a story!

Batman: Indeed. God always keeps his promises.
