Hey, folks, it's me, Norm MacDonald, here with a chapter-by-chapter summary of the Bible. First up: Judges 1. In this chapter, we learn that the Israelites were unable to drive out the inhabitants of the land, despite the Lord's promise that they could. Instead, they made deals with them. A lot of them. The Israelites were like, "Hey, let us live here and we'll give you a cut of the profits." And the inhabitants were like, "Uh, okay, sure." So that's what happened. Anyway, this chapter is full of details about who made deals with who, and who conquered who, and who did what. But the bottom line is, the Israelites were unable to drive out the inhabitants of the land, and that's that.
