Peter (narrator): So, the Bible chapter we're talking about today is Nehemiah 1.

Lois: What's it about?

Peter: Well, it's about a guy named Nehemiah who hears news of how the walls of Jerusalem are in ruins and he's pretty bummed out about it. He prays to God asking for guidance and God answers his prayer.

Brian (sarcastically): Whoa, so God actually answered his prayer?

Peter: Yeah, he did. So Nehemiah decides to go to the King of Persia and ask him for permission to go and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. The King agrees and Nehemiah is on his way.

Stewie: Oh great, so he's going to rebuild the walls. What happens next?

Peter: Well, Nehemiah gets to Jerusalem and starts organizing the rebuilding of the walls. He appoints leaders to help him, makes plans for the rebuilding, and gets to work. The people of Jerusalem are inspired by Nehemiah's enthusiasm and join in to help rebuild the walls.

Lois: Wow, so Nehemiah was really inspiring.

Peter: Yeah, he was. After 52 days, the walls of Jerusalem are restored. The people celebrate and give thanks to God.

Brian: Well, that's a nice story, but what's the point?

Peter: The point is that with courage, determination, and faith, anything is possible.
