Peter Griffin: Alright, so Ezra 10. So, Brian, what's the deal with this one?

Brian: Well, Peter, the people of Judah have returned from exile and Ezra the priest is leading them in rebuilding the temple. He and the people are confessing their sins and agreeing to abide by the Law of Moses.

Peter: So, what happens in this chapter?

Brian: Ezra discovers that some of the people have married foreign women, which was forbidden by the Law of Moses. So, he has them swear to put away their foreign wives and any children they have had with them.

Peter: Wow, that's intense. Like, what if they don't put away their foreign wives?

Brian: Well, then they were to be excommunicated from the community.

Peter: That's harsh. I guess that's why they call the Bible the "Old Testament," huh?

Brian: I suppose so.

Peter: Well, what else happens?

Brian: In the end, all the men of Judah put away their foreign wives, and Ezra blesses God for helping them stay true to His laws.

Peter: Wow, that's so cool. Like, shout out to God for being so awesome!
