Listen up, you maggots! In 1 Samuel chapter 30, we find out that David and his troops have been away from their home in Ziklag for three days. When they return, they discover that the Amalekites have raided the town, burning it to the ground and taking all the women and children. David and his troops are devastated, and they all weep loudly. David is so upset that he refuses to eat and he prays to God for help. God answers his prayers and sends him a prophet who tells him to take his army and go after the Amalekites. David and his troops set out, and they defeat the Amalekites, rescuing their families and regaining all the possessions that were taken from them. God grants them a great victory, and David and his troops are filled with joy and thankfulness.
