• Chapter 1

    Listen up, privates! This here is the book of Acts, and it's the story of Jesus' disciples after his resurrection. Chapter 1 starts off with Jesus telling his disciples that they will receive power to be his witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

  • Chapter 2

    "Listen up, recruits! This is the story of Acts 2: On the Day of Pentecost, a great sound from heaven came down and filled the house where the disciples were gathered. Suddenly, tongues of fire appeared and rested on each of their heads.

  • Chapter 3

    Listen up, you new recruits! In Acts 3 Peter and John were walking to the Temple and they saw a lame beggar who asked them for money. Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you.

  • Chapter 4

    Attention! This is chapter 4 of Acts, and it's a doozy. All of the folks in Jerusalem are talking about the healing of this lame dude. Peter and John are the ones who did it, and everyone's in awe of their power! So the Sadducees, who are the religious leaders, are like 'hold up, who gave you the power to do this?' Peter and John are like 'it's the name of Jesus that healed him' and everyone's freaked out.

    "LISTEN UP, RECRUITS! THIS IS ACTS CHAPTER 5! A man named Ananias and his wife Sapphira sold their property and then kept some of the proceeds for themselves. When they brought the rest of the money to the apostles, they lied about how much they had kept.

  • Chapter 6

    Listen up, ya maggots! This is Acts 6 and it's one of the most important chapters in the Bible. We got ourselves a conflict between the Hellenists and the Hebrews. The Hellenists were complaining they weren't getting the same attention as the Hebrews, so the apostles came up with a plan.

  • Chapter 7

    LISTEN UP, RECRUITS! Acts 7 is all about a guy named Stephen. Stephen was the first Christian martyr and his story is told here. Stephen was brought before the Jewish leaders and accused of blasphemy. He defended himself by delivering a long speech about the history of the Jews.

  • Chapter 8

    "LISTEN UP, RECRUITS! In ACTS 8, you've got the story of a guy named Philip, who gets sent out by an angel to preach the good news of Jesus. He meets a guy named Simon, who was already a believer, but Philip preaches to him anyway and he gets baptized.

  • Chapter 9

    Listen up, you maggots! This is chapter nine of the Bible, and it's about Saul, who was a bad dude and was out to get Christians. But then he had a vision of Jesus and was converted to Christianity. He then changed his name to Paul and went on a mission to spread the word of Jesus.

  • Chapter 10

    Listen up, you new recruits! This is an important chapter in the Bible, so pay attention! Chapter 10 of Acts is about Peter, a Jew, going to the home of a gentile, Cornelius. Cornelius is a Roman centurion and he has had a vision from God telling him to send for Peter.

  • Chapter 11

    "LISTEN UP, MAGGOTS! Chapter 11 of Acts is about the apostles hearing about something called 'the Gentiles' that have accepted the word of God. They are shocked and can't believe it. The apostles send Barnabas to check it out and he comes back confirming that it's true.

  • Chapter 12

    "LISTEN UP, RECRUITS! ACTS 12: King Herod was persecuting the church, so Peter was arrested and thrown in prison. The church prayed for his release. An angel came and freed Peter from prison, but he was mistaken for a ghost by the people who came to get him.

  • Chapter 13

    Attention! Listen up! This is the story of the first missionary journey in Acts 13. Paul and Barnabas set out from Antioch and preached the Word of God in the cities of Cyprus and Pamphylia. They cast out a demon from a man and healed a woman.

  • Chapter 14

    "Listen up, maggots! This is ACTS 14. Paul and Barnabas head out to Iconium, and a bunch of people follow them and believe in their message, but there are also some who don't, so they stay there a bit longer.

  • Chapter 15

    "LISTEN UP, RECRUITS! ACTS 15: We've got one big argument here. Some of the believers are saying that everyone has to be circumcised to be saved. Paul and Barnabas say, 'Nope. Not true.' So, the believers come together and decide that all non-Jewish believers don't have to be circumcised.

  • Chapter 16

    "Listen up, maggots! This is the book of Acts, chapter 16. It starts off with Paul and Silas in the city of Philippi. They meet a slave girl possessed by a spirit of divination and Paul casts the spirit out.

  • Chapter 17

    Listen up, maggots! It's time for your Bible 101 lesson on Acts 17. Paul and Silas have made it to Thessalonica and are preachin' the gospel. Some of the locals don't like this and they start a riot. Paul and Silas get out of there and head to Berea.

  • Chapter 18

    Acts 18: Paul and Silas leave Athens and head to Corinth. They meet Aquila and Priscilla, two Jews who had been expelled from Rome. Paul begins preaching in the synagogue and attracts many followers, including Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue.

  • Chapter 19

    ATTENTION! Listen up and listen good! This is Acts 19, the chapter in the Bible that explains the events that happen to Paul and his disciples in the city of Ephesus. Paul is preaching and teaching the gospel and many people become believers.

  • Chapter 20

    Listen up, recruits! This is the story of Acts 20. Paul, our hero, is on his way to Jerusalem with a bunch of other believers. He stops in a city called Miletus and calls for the elders of the church in Ephesus to come to him.

  • Chapter 21

    Listen up! In Acts 21, Paul is headed to Jerusalem. He's got a bunch of followers with him, and they all stop in Tyre, where they find some Christians. The Christians ask Paul not to go to Jerusalem because they heard some bad news about what will happen to him there.

  • Chapter 22

    Listen up, maggots! Chapter 22 of The Bible is all about the apostle Paul who, after being arrested in Jerusalem, is brought before the angry mob. He tries to calm them down, but they're having none of it.

  • Chapter 23

    Alright, listen up! This is Acts 23. We got Paul in a pickle here. He's been accused of teaching against the Jewish religion, and he's been taken to the Sanhedrin, the highest court of the Jews. He's trying to defend himself, and he's doing a pretty good job of it.

  • Chapter 24

    Listen up, maggots! This is Chapter 24 of Acts. Paul has been arrested and taken to the governor, Felix. Felix has been listening to Paul for two years and still isn't sure what to do with him. Paul has been preaching about "the faith in Christ Jesus" and Felix doesn't quite get it.

  • Chapter 25

    Listen up, recruits! This is Chapter 25 of the Book of Acts. Paul has been brought to Caesarea by the Roman governor, Festus. King Agrippa and his wife, Bernice, have come to see him. Paul stands before them to defend himself.

  • Chapter 26

    LISTEN UP RECRUITS! THIS IS ACTS CHAPTER 26! Paul is standin' before King Agrippa and is givin' his testimony. He's tellin' the King about his persecutin' of the Christians and his conversion to Jesus. Paul tells of his experience with Jesus on the road to Damascus and the mission Jesus gave him.

  • Chapter 27

    Listen up, ya recruits! In Acts 27, it's time to sail the seas with Paul! But a storm is coming, and Paul warns the crew not to go. But they don't listen and set off anyway. The storm is too strong, and the ship is wrecked.

  • Chapter 28

    Alright listen up you maggots! This is the story of Acts 28. Paul is sent to Rome by the centurion and a bunch of soldiers. He's put in prison and shares the gospel with anyone who visits him. After a few days, he is moved to a house outside the city walls and he spends two whole years there preaching and teaching about Jesus.
