Listen up, troops! In 1 Samuel 22, we see David on the run from King Saul. He seeks refuge in the stronghold of Adullam, and soon finds himself surrounded by a rag-tag group of outcasts. These include debtors, malcontents, and political refugees. Meanwhile, Saul continues to hunt David, and orders the priests of Nob to be slaughtered. The priest's son, Abiathar, escapes and joins David at Adullam. David then sets up an organization and recruits the outcasts to become a fighting force. He also receives words of encouragement from the Lord and reassurance that God is on his side. That's it for 1 Samuel 22. Now get to it!
