Folks, I'm not gonna lie to you. See here, Jack, my father used to say that the Bible was a powerful book and he was right. In Matthew 11, Jesus talks about how he sent out his disciples to heal the sick, cast out demons and preach the good news. He says that if you don't accept, then you won't be forgiven. C'mon, man! I'm telling you, it's a powerful message and he literally says that the people of his time will not accept it. He says that the people who are wise will accept it and those who are not wise will not. What was that? No malarkey - Jesus is saying that the people who accept his words will get eternal life. Here's the deal - Jesus calls out John the Baptist, saying that he was the greatest of the prophets and that the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. Then he talks about how his disciples should carry the message to the people and that the kingdom of heaven is at hand. I tell you what, it's a powerful message and one that should be taken seriously. Excuse me, but if we don't accept Jesus' words, then we won't get into the kingdom of heaven. Literally. I'm not joking!
