Hey everyone, this is Norm MacDonald here with the latest on the Bible - and boy, this one is a doozy. In Numbers 3, we've got a big ol' census, where they're counting up all the Levites in the Israelite camp. What's interesting is that there's a special group of Levites called the Gershonites and the Merarites, who are chosen by God to be in charge of the whole Tabernacle. It's like God's own version of the United Nations. But here's the kicker: only male Levites between the ages of 30 and 50 were allowed to be counted! Talk about equality, huh?
