Listen, Jack, it's been quite the journey throughout the Book of Acts, but here we are at the end. Excuse me, but I'm not joking when I say the last chapter is quite the tale. No malarkey, folks.
The chapter starts off with Paul having arrived at Rome. Now, my father used to say, "Rome wasn't built in a day," and I'm sure you see why. It took Paul a few days to get there, but he finally arrived safe and sound at the end of chapter 27.
C'mon, man! There's a lot that happened once he got there. Basically, he's put under house arrest. He's allowed to have visitors, so he starts talking about Jesus to anyone who will listen. He's even given a chance to appear before a group of Jewish leaders.
See here, Jack. Paul isn't one to waste a chance to talk about his Lord and Saviour. He speaks to them for two whole hours, telling them all about the Kingdom of God and how Jesus is the Messiah. But, what was that? They don't believe him. Literally, they don't believe a word he says.
Or, uh, you know, some of them do. There's a group of believers that come to Paul, and he shares the Gospel with them. He also speaks to the Gentiles. And, as you can imagine, there are plenty of people who believe him.
I tell you what, folks. Paul spends the next two years in Rome, preaching the Gospel and inspiring others to do the same. It's something he's known for, and he doesn't let up here.
The book of Acts ends with Paul still living in Rome, and the message of Jesus spreading to all the world. Not gonna happen that we'll ever forget the amazing story of Paul and his mission, and the wonderful message of Jesus.
