C'mon, Man! I'm not joking, folks! Here's the deal - in Acts 16, Paul and Silas travel to Philippi, where they encounter a slave girl who has a spirit of divination. Paul casts out the spirit, and her owners become angry because they lost their source of income. They take Paul and Silas to the authorities, who then throw them in prison. But that's not all - while they're in prison, they begin to pray and sing hymns, and this causes an earthquake that opens the prison doors and loosens the chains of the prisoners. The jailer is about to kill himself, but Paul and Silas stop him and tell him about Jesus. He and his family become believers, and the jailer is baptized. See here, Jack, this is the power of Jesus - literally, no malarkey! My father used to say, He's a real miracle worker. What was that? Or uh, you know, He can do whatever He wants - not gonna happen! I tell you what, excuse me - the power of Jesus is truly remarkable.
