Batman: Ah, 1 Kings 15. Let's see what our heroes up in Israel are up to now.

Robin: It says here that King Abijam succeeded his father, Asa, as King of Judah.

Batman: That's right, Robin. He reigned for three years, but unfortunately he didn't follow in his father's footsteps.

Joker: Hehehehehe! The Bible says Abijam did what was evil in the Lord's sight!

Batman: That's right, Joker. His reign was marked by idolatry and other sins. But then his son, Asa, took over and did what was right in the Lord's sight.

Catwoman: How did he do that?

Batman: He removed the foreign altars and the high places and the Asherim, and he broke and destroyed the pillars and the sacred stones. He even commanded Judah to seek the Lord, the God of their ancestors.

Riddler: So what happened after that?

Robin: Asa's son, Jehoshaphat, became king after him and did what was right in the Lord's sight, too. He even allied himself with King Ahab of Israel.

Batman: But unfortunately, Ahab was a bad influence and Jehoshaphat eventually had to distance himself from him.

Penguin: So what happened in the end?

Batman: In the end, Jehoshaphat's son, Jehoram, became king. He did evil in the Lord's sight and led Judah away from God. It was a sad end to a once-promising dynasty.
