Joker: Ah ha ha ha! I'm off to wreak havoc in the palace of Solomon!

Robin: Not so fast, Joker! We have to go over 1 Kings 8 first.

Batman: That's right, Robin. King Solomon has just dedicated the temple that he built in Jerusalem. He prayed to God and asked Him to fulfill His promises to the Israelites.

Joker: Oh, come on! What kind of promises?

Batman: Well, that God would always be with His people and that He would answer their prayers from the temple.

Robin: Wow, that's really cool!

Joker: No it's not! That's boring!

Batman: Actually, Joker, it's quite interesting. After Solomon's prayer, the glory of the Lord filled the temple and the priests couldn't even stand up!

Robin: Wow! That's amazing!

Joker: Alright, alright, I guess it's kinda cool. But still, I'm going to go wreak havoc in the palace!

Batman: Not so fast, Joker. 1 Kings 8 isn't over yet. Solomon also blessed the people and then sacrificed 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep.

Robin: That's a lot of animals!

Joker: Yeah, it sounds like a feast!

Batman: It was a feast, but it was also a sacrifice to the Lord. After the sacrifice, Solomon blessed the people one more time, and then he and the people went home.

Joker: Alright, I guess that's it. I'm off to cause some trouble!

Batman: Not so fast, Joker! We still have to go over the rest of 1 Kings 8.

Robin: That's right! Solomon also prayed for the Lord to hear the prayers of his people wherever they might be. He asked that the Lord forgive His people when they sinned and that He would bring them back to their own land.

Joker: Wow, that's really nice of him!

Batman: It certainly was. Finally, Solomon blessed the people once more and the people went home, praising the Lord.

Joker: Alright, I guess that's it. I'm off to cause some trouble!

Batman: Not so fast, Joker! We still have to go over the rest of 1 Kings 8.

Robin: That's right! Solomon prayed that the Lord would hear the prayers of His people wherever they might be. He asked that the Lord forgive His people when they sinned and that He would bring them back to their own land.

Joker: Alright, I guess that's it. Now I'm really off to cause some trouble!

Batman: Not so fast, Joker! We still have one more thing to go over in 1 Kings 8.

Robin: That's right! Solomon prayed that the Lord would always be with the people of Israel and that He would never turn away from them.

Joker: Alright, I guess that's it. Now I'm really, really off to cause some trouble!

Batman: Not so fast, Joker! We still have one more thing to go over in 1 Kings 8.

Robin: That's right! Solomon blessed the people one last time and reminded them to obey the Lord.

Joker: Alright, I guess that's it. Now I'm really, really, really off to cause some trouble!

Batman: Now you can go, Joker. Just remember, the Lord is always with the people of Israel, and He will never turn away from them.
