Good evening. In the book of Isaiah, chapter 14, we learn that God has had enough of the King of Babylon. He's like, "I'm gonna bring you down, buddy," and brings a bunch of nations against the King of Babylon. The Lord is full of wrath and promises to "cut off from Babylon the name and remnant, and offspring and posterity." In other words, the King of Babylon is getting the boot! But don't worry, it gets worse. God then says he's going to make Babylon a haunt of jackals and a desolation without inhabitant. Ouch. So, if you're the King of Babylon, you might want to stop and think about what you did.
