Well, folks, it's been a wild ride in the Bible lately, and this chapter is no exception. In 1 Chronicles 22, King David is getting ready to pass the torch to his son Solomon and build the temple. He's got plans, resources, and strategy laid out, but here's the kicker: He's not allowed to build it himself, because of a special rule David's own God gave him. So, he tells his people to "be brave and courageous," and to make sure Solomon follows through on the plans. He also tells them to be generous with the resources he's giving them. All in all, it's a pretty reasonable request, but I guess we'll see if they follow through.
