Peter: Alright, so Chapter 4 of 2 Corinthians. Let's see what's going on here.

Stewie: Oooh, "Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart." Brian: Yeah, that's good. But then it goes "Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day." I mean, that's a bit of a downer.

Peter: I know, right? But then it says "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." So I guess that makes it better.

Stewie: Yeah, but then it says "We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." So it's still kind of a bummer.

Brian: I mean, yeah, but then it says "We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us."

Peter: That's a nice way of looking at it.

Stewie: Yeah, I mean, it's like that line from The Lion King. "Oh yes, the past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it."

Brian: Yeah, that's true. But then it says "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day." So I guess that's the takeaway from this chapter.
