Folks, here's the deal: no malarkey when I tell ya Luke 9 is the real deal! Jesus is out on the road, and he's got his disciples with him. So, they're on their way to Jerusalem, and they're sending out messengers to the villages. See here, Jack, Jesus tells his disciples to give the messengers food, and clothing, and money. And here's the thing - if they don't have it, they're not to turn away empty-handed. My father used to say, "A man is only as good as how he treats his neighbor!" So don't forget that! But then, Jesus and his disciples head to the next village, and he starts performing miracles. Literally, folks, he heals a man with leprosy, and then he raises a dead boy. I'm not joking, you know - these are real miracles! Then Jesus talks about how he's gonna suffer, and die, and then rise again. I tell ya what, that's a pretty big deal! And then Jesus gives a stern warning - if anyone doesn't accept him, they're gonna face some serious consequences. Or uh, you know, not gonna happen. Excuse me, what was that? Oh yeah, so they keep on going, and they meet up with some Pharisees who are trying to test Jesus. C'mon, man, Jesus is too smart for that - he knows exactly what they're up to. So, he tells them that the only way to enter the kingdom of God is by being born again. And that's the end of the chapter!
