Folks, here's the deal: I'm not joking, we're talking about Luke 6! See here, Jack, it's all about Jesus and his disciples. C'mon, man, Jesus was teaching them how to be like him - you know, loving, kind, and generous. Literally, Jesus was teaching them how to be his followers. He said, "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven." My father used to say, "Be humble and you will be exalted." What was that? Jesus was also teaching his disciples about loving and forgiving their enemies. Or uh, you know, he said that you should do good even if someone does bad to you. Not gonna happen, Jesus said, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." I tell you what, that's a tough one, but if you want to be like Jesus, that's what you gotta do. Excuse me, Jesus even went so far as to say that you should love your enemies and do good to them - even if they don't love you back!
