Batman: Robin, this chapter of the Bible is about the consequences of sin.

Robin: What kind of consequences, Batman?

Batman: If someone is guilty of a sin, they must bring a sacrifice to the Lord for atonement. If they can't afford to bring a sacrifice, they must bring a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.

Joker: Ha ha ha! What kind of punishment is that? That's nothing!

Batman: Not so fast, Joker. If the person doesn't have enough money to bring a sacrifice, then the priest will place his hands on the head of the sinner and the Lord will accept the priest's guilt as atonement.

Catwoman: That still doesn't sound too bad.

Batman: Well, if the person can't afford even two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then they must bring a small portion of fine flour as a sin offering.

Riddler: So, let me get this straight: if someone sins, they have to bring a sacrifice to atone for their sin?

Batman: That's right, Riddler. The Lord requires a sacrifice for atonement, and that sacrifice must be made in order for the person to be forgiven.
