Well, folks, here’s a chapter of the Bible that’s sure to make you feel uncomfortable. In Ezra 9, the Israelites realize they’ve been a little too friendly with their neighbors, and that they’ve been marrying non-Israelites. Ezra’s not having it, and he has the people separate themselves from the foreigners and their pagan ways. He even has them make a vow to God that they’ll never mix again. So, lesson learned: don’t date outside your religion.
